MC JARED AND DJ GIL ON MAY 9TH 2015 AT TEMPLE BETH TORAH
Hi Vicki,
We were exhausted all week, but just now have finally had the opportunity to write to let you know how satisfied we were with More Than Music for Leah’s party. While we had some doubts originally about Jared and the band “Eclipse” ( not having seen or heard them previously), we were all quite pleased with their performance. Jared is a real professional…we have been to a few Bar and Bat Mitzvah parties this year, and Jared is by far the best of any of the MC’s we’ve seen to date. He is pleasant and definitely brought his game to the party and we couldn’t have been happier. We also had serious doubts about hiring Eclipse, without having heard them play, but they were tremendous, and really put the cocktail hour ahead of any cocktail hour we’ve been to….ever. We can’t tell you how many of our guests asked about the band, and are still talking about them, more than a week after the party.
The “lockout” game was a big hit with the kids, and the photo booth was handled well by your staff. The dancers were all great, and from what we can tell, the cell phone case engraving station was a hit , as well, even though the both of us never even got a chance to go over there to see it. Not sure about the video foosball, but didn’t hear any complaints about that, so “no news is good news”,
We did save you one of the Swaroski water bottles, with Leah’s hologram, we had made up for all of the adult guests, as you mentioned you would like one, so we have to meet up one of these days to give it to you.
Again, More than Music and Vicki Lowe came through for The Wohl’s in every aspect of Leah’s party, and it is really appreciated ! When a job is done well, we believe in saying so…SO THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

We had my daughter Carly’s Bat Mitzvah on Saturday. The Dane Wright Band was absolutely SPECTACULAR!!! Gil was our DJ and “Sugar” was our MC, they were over and beyond!!!
The Dancers were so much fun and really engaged with everyone!

More Than Music and DJ Gil in Long Island’s Gold Coast Luxury Magazine
More Than Music was featured in the most recent issue of Long Island’s Gold Coast Luxury Magazine, which covered the grand re-opening of the Dix Hills Jewish Center under the direction of Philip Stone Caterers. DJ Gil entertained over 200 guests at the event.

Just wanted to officially thank you. You were a pleasure to deal with. We really appreciated your honesty and suggestions. We also really enjoyed working with Gil, Jared, Jessica, Chineme, Mario and Priscilla.
Jessica rocked that dance for Izzy. The male dancers had so much energy and lit up the room (as did Jessica & Priscilla).
Jared was awesome! The music was perfect. He kept the party going at a high energy level and everyone was having fun.
Oh and we can’t forget the chapman & percussionist…awesome…perfect for cocktail hour and both delightful to speak with.

Bon Jovi and DJ Gil at JW Marriott Essex House Grand Reopening
With the recent purchase of the Essex House, Marriott Corporation is re-branding the hotel as part of its luxury JW Marriott brand. Hank Lane Music was asked to participate in the grand re-opening celebration for New York’s iconic Essex House hotel. Henceforth, the hotel (on New York’s Central Park South) will be known as the JW Marriott Essex House. With more than 200 invited guests in attendance, the hotel held a cocktail reception for corporate clients, event planners, and Marriott executives from around the country. Several celebrities were also in attendance, including NY Knicks Assistant Coach Herb Williams, retired player John Starks, and actor Danny Aiello.
Hank Lane Music provided a cool Jazz trio in the lobby and More Than Music DJ Gil in the Grand Ballroom. There was a performance by “Art in Action” artist Brian Olson, followed by a 30 minute acoustic set by Jon Bon Jovi. Brian paints portraits of famous people including musicians, sports figures, and top corporate heads on a four and a half by six foot canvas in just a matter of minutes. You can see his creation of the Bon Jovi band logo in the background. Jon Bon Jovi led a quartet in an unplugged style of some of his famous hits including “Saturday Night,” Wanted Dead or Alive” and “Livin on a Prayer.” He finished with a wonderful rendition of The Beatles, “Here Comes the Sun.” DJ Gil finished off the night spinning some cool tunes for the crowd who hung out for more than an hour after the show.
Bat Mitzvah at Edgewood Country Club
I just wanted to thank you for the amazing job you and your staff did Saturday night. The night couldn’t have been more perfect.
You delivered exactly what I envisioned. The decor was elegant and beautiful and the entertainment was spot on.
The compliments are flooding in. People are using words like “flawless” and “the most fun I’ve ever had at a bat mitzvah.”
A million thanks to Diana Gould and More Than Music for making this night everything it deserved to be.

Words cannot describe what an amazing job you did on Friday night. Chris and I (along with basically every other person at our wedding) danced from the minute we walked in to the reception until the minute we left. The music was exactly what we wanted. You kept people up dancing all night. Honestly, our wedding had the best music out of any wedding we’ve ever been to! We are literally recieving texts from our friends that say “I heart DJ Gil“. Our guests all commented on the music and how talented you are. We can’t thank you enough for being so professional, making our wedding as much fun as it was, and playing awesome remixes.
